Assessing the language skills of migrants: Policy and practice
Zusammenfassung:
This workshop will consider the policy goals underlying migrant language skills assessment, and will examine ways in which such assessments may be carried out. It will use a proposed distinction between ‘fairness’ and ‘justice’ in assessment (McNamara & Ryan, 2011) to examine aspects of the validity of such assessments.The workshop is open to a general audience interested in these issues. It will be held in English.
